The Dutch door security will be released in 2016, and will be a part of a new Dutch security platform, Dutch security firm Dokument said Wednesday.
Dokument, which is headquartered in Rotterdam, is developing a system for door security that will be used by both companies that provide door security services.
The security system, which will be deployed in the Netherlands, will include an RFID reader that will track users’ movements.
“The new Dutch Door security system will be the next step in the Dutch door-based security strategy,” said Dokuments director Jeroen M. van Loon.
Dutch security company Dokentech, which has been a leading provider of security products for Dutch residents for the last 15 years, said that it was the first company to create a door security system.
“Dokentec is a pioneer in the field of door security and the Dutch Door is the first door security product to be available in the home.
Its new security platform will serve the Dutch community for the foreseeable future,” Dokents CEO Paul van den Brandt said.
The Dutch company is not alone in its efforts to make security a key focus in the development of security systems.
In June, Microsoft Corp. announced it would integrate its Security and Identity solutions into its Azure platform.
It’s an effort that has been in the works for some time.
Microsoft’s new platform will allow users to register with the platform and access services from third parties.
The company said the new platform would be built in a modular fashion and would be available on Windows and Windows Azure.
